Welcome
Dear Parents,
I hope everyone had a relaxing and fun summer vacation and is eager to start 3rd grade!
I would like to take this time to introduce myself and to let you know that I am excited to be working with you and your child. By working together I know that your child will be successful this year. I am looking forward to a productive year in 3rd grade.
My name is Melissa Dunn and I will be your child’s third grade teacher for the 2011-2012 school year. In 2002, I graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. I completed my teaching internship in the West Clermont Local School District. In June 2007, I graduated with my Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education.
I feel that a key aspect to your child’s success is a trusting relationship that must be built between each student, parent and teacher. I hope to work on creating individual relationships with you and your child, which prove to be meaningful and prosperous. I welcome you into our classroom whenever you are able to observe or interact within our learning environment.
Working together, we can strive toward a common goal of assisting your child to grow to his/her fullest potential academically, emotionally, mentally and physically. If at any time throughout the year you have any questions or comments, please feel free to contact me at 943-3810 (voicemail) or dunn_m@westcler.org. I welcome your input and ideas.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Melissa Dunn
